The 2012 NC General Assembly Session adjourned on July 3, 2012 and the 2011 National Electrical Code is now in effect in North Carolina as of July 3, 2012.
With this effective date, the Board's qualifying examinations will be based on the 2008 National Electrical Code until August 31, 2012. Effective September 1, 2012, the Board's examinations will be based on the 2011 National Electrical Code.
The Board has the 2011 National Electrical Code book (soft-bound cover) in stock. The code books are available to licensees, examinees, inspectors and others who may wish to purchase books at discounted prices.
