Louisiana Reciprocity

Louisiana licensed Electrical Contractors must have held an Unlimited license in the state of Louisiana for at least 3 consecutive years to be eligible for reciprocity with North Carolina.

Pursuant to the provisions of the reciprocal agreement between the Board and the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, licensees of the Louisiana board are eligible to apply for and obtain a North Carolina electrical contracting license, and North Carolina licensees are eligible to apply for and obtain a Louisiana electrical contracting license as listed in the following table:
