RECIPROCITY: SOUTH CAROLINA
Pursuant to the provisions of the reciprocal agreement between the Board and the South Carolina Licensing Board for Contractors, licensees of the South Carolina Board are eligible to apply for and obtain a North Carolina electrical contracting license, and North Carolina licensees are eligible to apply to the South Carolina board and obtain a South Carolina electrical contracting license in classifications as prescribed in the following table:

*South Carolina applicants: Each qualified individual must also pass an examination on laws, rules and business practices applicable to Electrical Contracting in North Carolina (included in your application packet).
North Carolina licensees will need to contact the South Carolina Licensing Board for Contractors to request the application packet for South Carolina license.
